OCEAN LAKES CAMPGROUND in Myrtle Beach, SC

This campground is humongous! It’s a small town. The map they gave me at check-in was like 36” x 36”. They have houses to rent and RV campsites. The RV campsites are concrete slabs, full hookups, picnic table and again NO FIRE PITS! We have bought one along the way and have carried it along so we were good to go. We had an awesome campsite and we were 1 campsite away from the sand and the beach entrance. Location wise this campground is at the end of Myrtle Beach and it’s almost in Surfside Beach.

This campground was packed and we were there during the week. Usually during the week the campgrounds we have been to were more than half empty. Not here and they pack you in! They have an amazing pool area which has two large slides, a lazy river, splash pad and a pool. The only thing that stinks is during the week the slides are closed. When you still have a decent amount of people you need to keep all the amenities open. You charge full price during the week so we should have access to the full park. The activities were pretty lame during the week also.

The laundromat is nice and clean and it’s a full size laundromat. They also have a full store with groceries and souvenirs. Next to that there is restaurant/ice cream shop. At night time the line for the ice cream shop was so long we wouldn’t even wait in it.

Everyone at this campsite either has a golf cart or rents one and they are EVERYWHERE!!! The golf cart traffic is a bit annoying (that’s how many there are).

There are a ton of different campgrounds to choose from in Myrtle Beach, SC and there is a ton to do to keep yourself entertained. Myrtle Beach is a great vacation stop for all ages!!!
